The Missing Chair. From Concept to Idea
Spanish edition
At MoMA there is a work of art that is a chair: if it breaks, it is replaced and the work stays the same. So what does a chair need to have to be a chair?
A concept is not defined: it is built, and what is built is a place.
You have never seen “the chair”. Only chairs.
There was a Christianity before Christ. It was there, waiting. It lacked a name and a hero.
When the advice is not taken, the outcome works as a test of the diagnosis.
The machine does something more than get it right and something less than know.
The concept is ours; the Idea is not.
The history was Jewish; the meaning it was given, Greek.
